Tesla Motors has defined the company’s brand by focusing on energy innovation. Through one of the most creative designs and sustainable technology programs, the auto maker prides itself with a mission to help fast-track global changeover to sustainable transportation.

The Tesla Motors vision

The Tesla brand was founded in 2003 in Silicon Valley. Some innovative engineers were inspired to show the world the possibility of using electric cars regularly. This, in their view, is economically and environmentally friendly. The idea was broadened for the Tesla brand to showcase products that come with unbelievable power, instant force, and zero emissions.

The Tesla brand keeps abreast with the times. To achieve its mission, the company plans strategic business plans by producing affordable products for consumers in all spheres of life.

Tesla Motors launched the Tesla Roadster in 2008. This was manufactured with an AC induction motor patented in 1888 by Nikola Tesla. Nikola Tesla is the inventor that influenced the company’s name. The innovation and creation of the Roadster set a new global wave for alternative energy for vehicles. It also established a norm for how electric vehicles are built. The Roadster is currently used in over 30 countries around the world, with sales exceeding over 2400 units.

Tesla brand also includes other forms of vehicles and models. The Tesla Model S was launched in 2012. It is also known as the first premium electric sedan, build as 100% electric vehicle. The car had a 5 star safety rating in 2013 from the United States National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration.

In 2014, Tesla motors delivered 2 other all-wheel models. Model 85D comes with a highly efficient motor that gives the car uncompromising traction in all conditions. The P 85D has the power to perform a speed of 0-60 mph at 3.2 seconds. The Tesla brand expands to other vehicles the company has created, including the all wheel-drive Model S 70D.

To save time, consumers power their cars in the comfort of their homes, which is a big win in such a busy global environment. The brand continues to explore better ways to maximize vehicle charges.

Achievements and recognition

The Tesla Motors brand has been recognized as number one in innovation. The company is rated number 488 in market share and stands at number 113 as America’s best employer. Tesla Motors market cap as in May this year is $25.5 billion with total sales more than $3.2 billion.

Tesla Motors is building a giga-factory that will usher in the production of a mass-market car, the Model 3. “At the end of 2020, the facility will produce lithium ion cells, that supersedes stationery storage of all the worlds output in 2013," says CEO Elon Musk.
