Invicta Bolt Zeus Reserve review: A watch with function

The average customer rating for the Invicta Bolt Zeus is between 4.5 and 4.7 out of 5 stars. This sculptured masterpiece seems to be very heavy on the wrist. One thing that comes to mind is how long will you be able to keep this heavy watch on your wrist, commuting from home to work and taking centre stage in business meetings during the day?

Like many upscale products, this timepiece is not for everybody. Depending on your style and taste, you may either be eager to purchase one or be on the fence to acquire one. Lovers of classic watches may find the Invicta Bolt Zeus trendy, while at the same time innovative watch connoisseurs believe its uniqueness shows the way forward for building time-pieces now and for the future.

The Invicta Bolt Zeus watch undoubtedly brings creative presence and a very bold style to the forefront. It commands an exquisite beauty that explains why it is part of the company’s upper-end reserved collections.

It intrigued me when I ordered the Invicta Bolt Zeus last year, which commanded a high public interest in its functionality and beauty. I noticed that a person's wrist size might also play a factor in either keeping it or returning it. For the new convert in innovative watches, this will be a keen decision to make. Without question, the watch is comfortable to wear.

The Invicta Bolt Zeus retails at $1200, but the typical sale price is between $600 and $850. Though these prices seem to be on the low end, the watch itself is comparable to any high-end watches on the market today. Eyal Lalo, the CEO of Invicta, believes that watches can be affordable yet with very costly features.

Invicta Bolt Zeus uncompromising style

With a formidable execution, uncompromising style, and a Swiss-made precision engine, the Invicta Bolt Zeus Reserve’s power and built harmonizes a picture-perfect and trending product.

Sometimes, the Invicta Bolt Zeus watches are heavily layered in 18-carat gold or may come in other colour executions too. They are made with surgical stainless steel cases that comprise matching bracelets. Other executions have also been finished with lighter bands rather than stainless steel, such as silicone and rubber bands.

Watch movement, function, and style

The Invicta Bolt Zeus houses a precisely crafted Swiss Part Ronda 50.40.D Quartz chronograph movement for time accuracy. It has a 21-millimetre stainless steel case in thickness and 52-millimeter overall case measurement in standard models. The signature model shows a rope jewelery design, attached with cables in 1/6 inches spaced out around the unidirectional rotating bezel.

One disadvantage for business executives who will want to showcase the beauty of the Invicta Bolt Zeus is that the watch cannot be worn under the cuff of your shirt. It becomes unpacked when wearing it with a suit. I will not recommend the Invicta Bolt Zeus at a 52 millimetre for the ladies who want to wear this piece as a boyfriend watch despite its high-end look.

Uniquely made and well-coordinated cable wires are positioned on the sides of the watch case. The Invicta Bolt Zeus has chronographic function pushers and a matching collection logo. Its impressive textured edged crown and function controls put time at your fingertips with no hassle on the embedded Swiss-made movement.  The crown has a screw-down function that ensures the watch is protected up to 660 feet underwater. A test of this water resistance function shows that the watchmaker is at the cutting edge of this technology.

The Invicta Bolt Zeus is guarded by a flame fusion crystal material on the watch's face to prevent it from scratching. The innovative watch also shows round luminous 'tritnite' index markers with a trim at all positions. This feature is so important, and many modern high-end watches are without them. The luminous 'tritnite' markers help you access time in the dark after it has been charged routinely in daylight, sunlight, or by light.

The Invicta Bolt Zeus has a date window near the 4:00 position, which keeps your schedule intact. The revered Swiss made stamp settles in at 6:00 position. Impressive sub-dials in the seconds, 1/10-second, and 30-minute patterns exist near 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions in that sequence. The Invicta Bolt Zeus also elaborates 'tritnite' accents to the hour, minute, and chronograph hands for accurate time visibility.

Showing a very dominant look and style, the Invicta Bolt Zeus has a well-made case and coordinating stainless steel bracelet which displays three cable wire accents. This is well woven on either side near the case. In addition to the safety catch on the wrist and the secure fit that comes with a deployment clasp, both the deployment clasp and the bezel of the Invicta Bolt Zeus have case matching names and a bezel matching logo engraved on them.
